Cookie Policy
What cookies and similar storage Trusten uses, and how you can control them.
1. Overview
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Trusten also uses related browser storage (for example localStorage) for preferences. This policy explains categories we use on https://trustentracking.com and related apps.
2. Strictly necessary
These are required for the service to work. They cannot be switched off in our consent banner.
- Session cookies (
access_token,refresh_token) — httpOnly, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax. Used to keep you signed in. Not readable by page JavaScript. - Security / CSRF-adjacent session continuity — same session cookies support authenticated API calls from the web app.
- Preference storage — language (
lang), theme (theme), and cookie consent choice itself, stored in localStorage so the UI remembers your settings.
3. Analytics / optional
Optional analytics or marketing cookies are only set if you choose “Accept all” on the consent banner. If we have not enabled a third-party analytics vendor yet, choosing Accept all simply records your preference for future optional tools. Choosing “Necessary only” keeps analytics off.
4. Managing cookies
Use the on-site banner when it appears, clear site data in your browser, or email [email protected]. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent sign-in.
