Privacy Policy
How Trusten collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our websites, apps, and APIs.
1. Who we are
This policy is issued by Trusten (“we”, “us”), operator of the Trusten fleet-tracking and rental operations platform at https://trustentracking.com. Contact: [email protected].
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use Trusten, we may process:
- Account data — name, work or personal email, phone, password hash, organization name, and role.
- Operational data you or your organization enter — vehicle, device, rental, customer, maintenance, and incident records.
- Location and telematics — GPS coordinates, speed, ignition, and related device events for vehicles your organization connects to Trusten.
- Technical data — IP address, user agent, approximate timestamps, and security/audit logs needed to operate the service.
- Communications — messages you send to support or that we send about account status.
We minimize identity documents and KYC fields by design (see our product ADRs). We do not sell personal data.
3. Why we process data
- Provide, secure, and improve the Trusten product (contract / legitimate interest).
- Authenticate users, enforce permissions, and keep an audit trail of sensitive actions.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Send transactional emails (signup received, account approved, security notices).
4. Sharing
We share data with infrastructure processors that host Trusten (for example cloud compute, database, email delivery) under contracts that restrict use to providing the service. Organization admins control access inside their tenant. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
5. Retention
Account and operational records are retained while the organization is active and for a limited period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Location/event streams may be retained according to product configuration and operational needs. You may request deletion of personal data subject to legal holds and tenant obligations — contact [email protected].
6. Security
We use HTTPS in production, httpOnly session cookies, role-based access, and related controls described in our security baseline. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; report concerns to [email protected].
7. International transfers
Trusten may be hosted in regions outside your country (including EU or Middle East AWS regions). Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps appropriate to the transfer and our processors’ terms.
8. Your choices
You may access or update profile information in-product where available, close your account via your organization admin or by emailing us, and manage non-essential cookies via our Cookie Policy. Organization owners remain responsible for lawful use of data they import about their customers and drivers.
9. Children
Trusten accounts are for adults (see Age Policy). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date and version at the top will change. Material changes that affect signup attestations bump the documented legal version used at account creation.
These documents describe how Trusten operates the product today. They are not a substitute for advice from qualified counsel. Have them reviewed for your entity, markets, and any store listing before treating them as final compliance evidence.
